Pin Description:
World of Disney New York City WOD NYC. Police man Mickey and Cabbie Goofy are Pin on Pin elements and Donald and Firetruck are Pin on Pin on Pin. The New York City street sign, featured in all three pins in this LE 500 Series, is glow in the dark. There are two additional New York City themed pins that were released at the same time. YET this pin is special! It includes a stylized depiction of the Twin Towers. In the background, directly above Goofy (on the right side of the pin), you can see two identical rectangular buildings standing side-by-side, slightly taller and more uniform than the other buildings around them. Their design and placement strongly resemble the iconic silhouette of the original World Trade Center Twin Towers, especially in contrast to the other buildings which vary in shape and detail. The rest of the skyline includes a stylized version of the Empire State Building (center-left) and the Brooklyn Bridge (to the right of Goofy), further anchoring this as a tribute to classic New York City landmarks. **This pin appears to be a commemorative design evoking the pre-2001 NYC skyline, honoring the police, firemen, and everyday workers of NYC.**Updated 2025-11-25 14:00:29
