Pin Description:
This gift pin is of the Doc puzzle piece from the Christmas Tree Puzzle set that took a Cast Member seven years to assemble. This pin wasn’t given to the CMs who had participated in the 2002 Candlelight Processional until sometime in 2003 because the hat and parts of the shirt worn by Doc in the original pin had been mistakenly been created with a lighter shade of green real glass cloisonné.The first puzzle piece, featuring Happy, was given to CMs participating in the 2001 Candlelight Processional at DLR. Then, over the next six years, a different puzzle piece featuring another one of the Seven Dwarfs, was gifted to those CMs participating in that year’s Candlelight Processional.
When correctly placed together, the seven pins form a Christmas Tree that is approximately 2.75 inches at its base and 4.75 inches tall. A photo of the assembled tree can be seen in the listing for the Grumpy pin in this set: https://pinandpop.com/pins/99163/candlelight-processional-xmas-tree-puzzle-grumpy
Although the edition size is not stated on the back of any of the pins, it was common knowledge back then that only 200 of each were made, and that at one or more cast member parties after 2007, that the remaining puzzle pieces were sold either individually or assembled into the complete tree.
These gold-finished pins are made of real glass cloisonné with one pin post on each of their backs.
