Pin Description:
To celebrate the 10th Anniversary of the Walt Disney Classics Collection Society (Anniversary titled “Decade of Dreams”), this 12 pin set was released for a limited time. Every year, the Collection used a different production mark to indicate the year the collectors item was released. Each mark represents an important piece of Disney Animation. These productions marks include:

1992: Steamboat Wheel (Steamboat Willie)
1993: Treble Clef (Silly Symphonies)
1994: Dancing Flower (Dancing Flowers and Trees)
1995: Trowel (Three Little Pigs)
1996: Donald Duck's Hat (Wise Little Hen)
1997: Music Stand (The Band Concert)
1998: Pickaxe (Dwarf’s Diamond mining tool to celebrate Disney’s Diamond Anniversary)
1999: Sorcerer's Hat (Fantasia)
2000: Flying Feather (Dumbo)
2001: Butterfly (Bambi)
2002: Sombrero (Saludos Amigos)
2003: Singing Harp (Mickey and the Beanstalk)
The pick ax is representational of the dwarf’s diamond mining pick ax. This is a of double importance as Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs was the first full length animated feature, made all the more impressive by being a fully technicolor feature. The dwarfs’ Diamond connection also perfectly represents The Walt Disney Company’s Diamond Anniversary that was being celebrated in 1998, the same year this production mark was used. The Pick Ax is a tan enamel on a gold colored base metal. It is a pin on pin with the base pin being the main logo of the WDCC in a shade of Prussian Blue.

The back of the pin has a Singing Harp (the 2003 production mark) waffling. Under the single post is a smoothed box with the following information: - (C) Disney - Walt Disney Collectors - Society Exclusive - 1998 (year of that Pin’s production mark) - China

The pin back is a plain black circle.

This set came in an embossed box. Charter Members received a special Umbrella Production Mark pin that represented Disney’s Pinocchio. Another WDCC 10th Anniversary souvenir was a Keepsake Commemorative Coin featuring Jiminy Cricket and the Society 10th anniversary logo which is featured in these photos.
