This is the pin for Cinderella Castle Mystery Tour. This was an attractions that could be found at Cinderella Castle in the center of Tokyo Disneyland from July 11, 1986 to April 5, 2006. It was notable for a few reasons as it was a true walk through attraction (something often considered but rarely done) and one of the few that features characters from The Black Cauldron (considered one of the darkest Disney movies). The attraction itself focused on Disney villains and featured the likes of Stromboli from Pinocchio, Chernabog from The Night on Bald Mountain segment of Fantasia, Maleficent’s Goons, and more. The tour came to a climax when guests encountered The Horned King from The Black Cauldron as he threatens to make guests part of his army. A special guest in the tour is picked to point Taran’s Sword of Light (the hero of The Black Cauldron) at The Horned King and use the sword’s power to defeat the villains and the army. This pin features The Cinderella Castle in a pink-tan on a royal blue background. Below the castle, proudly displayed is Taran’s Sword of Light. The name of the attraction is spelled out in royal blue on a bright sky blue background. A brown-red border wraps its way around the edge of the pin. The back of this pin is smooth and shiny. Under the single post is the Tokyo Disneyland logo. It also has “2001-01” and “(C) Disney” engraved at the bottom.
