Step 1: Goofy walking through a Storyboard
Step 2: Donald drawing the Animation from the storyboard
Step 3: Minnie Painting the Cells from Animation
Step 4: Mickey dressed up and attending the animation’s Premiere
This particular pin is of Donald Duck demonstrating “Step 2”. Donald is sitting at an animation desk holding up a mirror to be able to mimic his expressions to the character he is drawing out in front of him, a caricature of himself. On top of the animation desk, the feet of a clay model of the caricature can be seen. Donald himself is dressed in a turquoise green outfit complete with a hat and vest. This is a pin-on-pin with the base being the animation desk and the pin-on-pin being Donald, the mirror, and animation he is drawing.
