This pin was designed for the Cast Member “Create-A-Pin” contest for Disney Land Resort Cast. This pin features Mickey dressed as the Sorcerer’s Apprentice and holding a Disneyland Resort Cast Member’s Name Tag. The name tag has the Disneyland Logo as it appeared in 2004 with The Sleeping Beauty Castle, California Adventure’s Grizzly Peak, and the monorail in the upper bubble of the name tag. Yellow pixie dust is scattered across the tag. In place of a name, “Official Magic Maker” is written across the tag. Attached by a dangle is a yellow, upward arched banner that says “Making Magic One Smile at a Time”

The back of the pin has a light sandblasted texture and a single post. The Official 2004 Pin Trading Logo is below the post. Under the Logo is “Cast Member Design - Limited Edition 2000 - (c) Disney China”.

This pin was designed by Jonathan M. Lara. Jonathan was present at the pins’ release for autographs. During the autograph session, a biography for Jonathan was given stating:
“Jonathan M. Lara joined the Disney team in November 2001 as part of the Entertainment Division at The Disneyland Resort. Jonathan’s ‘Create-a-Pin’ design serves as a tribute to world renowned magic maker, Mickey Mouse and time all Disneyland Resort Cast Members who take their role each day to keep magic alive.”
