Pin Description:
This pin depicts the plaque mounted on the wall inside the Walt Disney Archives office on the Burbank Studio lot. It is an oval shaped pin with a blue line around its perimeter on a bright chrome background. At the bottom is a blue banner with "EST. 1970" in chrome. Mickey Mouse is shown in five evolutions of his persona from 1928 until today. The five characters are drawing each other as they progress from left to right. Except for the 1928 Mickey on the far left, the other four are in color with Sorcerer Mickey in the middle and Mickey from Jack and the beanstalk ("Fun and Fancy Free") to his right. Above the Mickeys are the words: "Walt Disney ARCHIVES."The back of this pin is silver and slightly sandy in texture. There are two pin posts centered horizontally. Between the two posts is the Official D23 logo, and below that is has "©Disney MADE IN CHINA." This pin was sold at a D23 event held at the Burbank Studios to D23 members and their guests. It is a jumbo pin and measures approximately 2" x 3 1/2". This pin was also sold at the Archives Treasure Trove store at the D23 Expo 2011.
