WDI - EPCOT Poster Series 2 - Maelstrom This limited edition jumbo pin is based upon an attraction (ride) at EPCOT (Experimental Protocol Community of Tomorrow) at Walt Disney World Resort. It was released by Mickey's of Glendale (MOG) / Walt Disney Imagineering (WDI) to Cast Members only. It measures 3.173" wide and 4.65" high. The pin's shape is a replica of a poster that was used to advertise the attraction. The pin's shape is a replica of a poster that was used to advertise the attraction. Maelstrom was a boat ride attraction at Epcot. It was located in the Norway Pavilion at World Showcase. The ride opened in 1988 giving an authentic portrayal of Norwegian life and folklore. It closed in 2014 making way for the Frozen Ever After attraction in 2016.
