Pin Description:
This pin depicts Mickey Mouse as a sculpture of Mickey with his ears as CDs, holding a mouse in his hand. This sculpture was designed by Jamie Lee Curtis. At the bottom it reads "Celebrate Mickey New York City 2005Commemorate the conclusion of "Celebrate Mickey: 75 InspEARations," the celebration of Mickey Mouse's 75th anniversary with this Limited Edition pin. This pin celebrates the arrival of several Mickey Mouse statues to the World of Disney® - Fifth Avenue in New York City. The 75 uniquely designed statues of Mickey have toured the country since Mickey's 75th anniversary on November 18, 2003. Each statue, individually-decorated by notable Disney legends, artists, actors, musicians or athletes, is six feet-tall and weighs more than 700 pounds. This pin was inspired by the statue designed by Jamie Lee Curtis and is titled "The Original Mouse Pad." The "Celebrate Mickey" medallion is a pin-on-pin. Mickey is different shades of metallic blue. His ears have a white center with multicolored stripes radiating from them (possibly CD's or DVD's). He holds something metallic blue in his hand (looks like a cell phone or a remote control). The slab he stands on is also metallic blue and looks like it might be a DVD player. Silver oval at the bottom reads "Celebrate Mickey New York City 2005.
