Pin Description:
Walt Disney World’s Then and Now collection for Epcot with a round flat Spinner feature that flips between Then and Now sides.The THEN side is CommuniCore and is entirely silver with a small robot in the foreground. The CommuniCore logo fills the background.
The NOW side is Innovations with a gold background, yellow inverted triangle, and a blue stripe at the top of the triangle. “EPcot” is written above the yellow triangle, “Innovations” in the blue stripe, and “The Road to Tomorrow” in the yellow portion with a hand holding a lightbulb below.
CommuniCore was a pavilion dedicated to technological advance located at EPCOT Center in Walt Disney World, Florida. It occupied two semi-circular buildings behind Spaceship Earth at the center of Future World (today World Celebration). The two buildings were known as CommuniCore East and West and housed rotating exhibits. The pavilion was closed and redesigned in 1994, and the former CommuniCore buildings became the home of Innoventions, which closed permanently on September 7, 2019.
