The original Buzz Lightyear dark ride opened in 1998 in Walt Disney World's Magic Kingdom. In the attraction, guests are enlisted in the Space Ranger Corps, where they are tasked with defeating the Evil Emperor Zurg (Sworn enemy of the Galactic Alliance) armed with Laser Cannons as they move through the Gamma Quadrant in their XP-37 star cruiser.
