This is one of five pins in the 40th Anniversary of the Walt Disney World Resort pin set, which was given exclusively to Magic Kingdom Park, Contemporary Resort, Fort Wilderness Resort, and Polynesian Resort cast members who worked on October 1, 2011, the day of the 40th Anniversary. The backer card is an 8 x 10 illustration of the original Walt Disney World Resort map when it opened in 1971. This pin features Mickey Mouse leaning on a banner that commemorates the 40th anniversary of the Walt Disney World Resort, reading "Celebrating 40 Years of Magic, Walt Disney World®".
