Pin Description:
This pin was apart of a cast exclusive set. Each pin had a trading card that provided details about each attraction. The attractions represented in this collection were all extinct attractions that had closed by 1990. This particular pin commemorates the now-retired area "Pirate's Cove" and features the imposing Skull Rock.The accompanying trading card read as follows:
"Captain Hook's Pirate Ship floats
under the ominous gaze of Skull Rock. Through the ship's yellow portholes the view was very limited from 1955 until 1960, when the forbidding Skull Rock, dominating a scenic tropical cove, was completed. During construction of the New Fantasyland in 1982 it was removed. Dumbo the Flying Elephant
attraction was moved to its location."
This set was sold at Company D in Walt Disney World as well.
