Pin Description:
This pin was apart of a cast exclusive set. Each pin had a trading card that provided details about each attraction. The attractions represented in this collection were all extinct attractions that had closed by 1990. This particular pin commemorates the now-retired attraction "Adventure Thru Inner Space" and features the iconic 'atom mobile' omnimover vehicle design that was the precursor to the 'doom buggy'. In the background is a multicolour atom design.The accompanying trading card read as follows:
"Taking the place of Hall of Chemistry at the right side of the entrance to the New Tomorrowland in 1967, Adventures Thru Innerspace explored the 'other frontier' in science, that of microscopic research. As a more educational-than-thrill-oriented experience, 'Inner Space' was one of the few attractions at Disneyland not requiring a ticket during its first five years of operation. Star Tours now stands in its location."
This set was sold at Company D in Walt Disney World as well.
